I don't want to sound ungrateful or anything, and I had a lovely time over the weekend and everything.... but why is it that the week after a bank holiday always seems to last f-o-r-e-v-e-r?
It's only a four day working week, but I was already clock watching at 10:04am this morning.
Rubbish, and three whole days of this week to go yet.
Even worse: that was the last bank holiday weekend we get before Christmas and the next holiday in my diary is for the end of January.

I think Bank Holidays are just there to rub our noses in it. Oh and to clog up the motorways.
ReplyDeleteToday was so slow that I'd booked Friday off by 11am. I'll be using the time to encourage plumbers, double glazing salesmen and roofers to give me outrageous quotes though, so it'll hardly be a holiday...
ReplyDeleteCome join us here in the States, we have our three day weekend coming up for Labor day. Just travel to countries that have holidays, that's the ticket.
ReplyDeleteFriday is pathetic
ReplyDeleteor from the "glass is half full" side, Friday I'm in love?
ReplyDeleteI know no-one's interested in my moaning, but can I just remind you we had no bank holiday in Scotland. (And I have to work Saturday.)
ReplyDeleteI know it is Wednesday but you are right it seems to be dragging. Role on Thursday night as I have managed to get Friday off.
